WIELICZKA SALT MINE TOUR
The salt mine complex in Wieliczka is World’s only mining site that had been in continuous operation from the 13th Century until 2007. Currently out of operation the mine remains open for tourists. Along a ca. 3km long route, while descending as deep as 136 m, you can admire whole chapels carved in the living salt rock (St Kinga Chapel for example), mythical, historical and religious figures sculpted in salt stones, underground lakes, original mining tools, as well as traces of mining works. In 1978 Wieliczka Salt Mine was placed on the first UNESCO roster of World Heritage Sites.
Our English speaking driver will pick you up from the hotel or any given adress. Then he will drive you to Wieliczka Salt Mine, where you will join a guide tour (every hour). While travelling to Wieliczka you will watch a documentary film about Salt Mine in Wieliczka. You can spend as much time as you wish in Salt Mine (it's your private tour - our driver and our car exclusively for you). Our driver will be waiting on the car park during the whole tour.
After visiting Salt Mine our driver will take you back to Krakow, to your hotel.
You may also combine visiting Salt Mine with Auschwitz-Birkenau in one day.

All prices are in Euro / Polish Zloty for whole group per tour. For example, the cost of a full day tour for 4-5 people is 200zl, which is 50zl per person based on 4 people.
